Sunnyside Public Works Superintendent Shane Fisher reported that the city has received a formal offer from the city of Kennewick for the street sweeper that was discovered to be inappropriate for use on Sunnyside streets.

Fisher said the purchase still needs to be approved by the Kennewick City Council, which should happen next week some time.

Public works is currently looking at a couple of options for a replacement sweeper, including the possibility of a used sweeper.
