Family and friends of Silvia Aguila from Mabton, joined together and raised $650.00 for her breast cancer treatment and chemotherapy regimen at the Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Sunnyside on Saturday, August 3. The Car wash team had two crews working as vehicles pulled in behind the drive thru lane for a soapy cleansing while drivers provided their heartfelt donations beginning at 10 a.m. O’Reilly Auto Parts supplied the buckets and towels. The all-day event also included a snack tent of cooked sweet corn with mayo, cheese and chili powder, along with chips and bottled water which were also available for purchase.
