On Spring vacation, Shirley Martin and her daughter Kelly Martin-Carter flew to Arizona to see baby Xander and the rest of their family. “Before the coronavirus, Shirley Martin, Kim Rodgers and other family members flew to Arizona for a baby shower for Emily Cooper. Our family was very excited because this would be Shirley’s first great, great grandchild,” Kelly-Martin Carter shared. “When the virus hit, no one was able to travel, so when Xander was born, Shirley was not able to go visit her great, great grandson. It took a year and vaccines for us to be able to go to Phoenix to go see the baby who now was 1-year-old.” The family visited the Heard Museum in Phoenix and took an early Mother’s Day trip to Sedona to see the Church in a Rock. Family photos were taken on Easter Sunday. The Monday after Easter, the ladies of the family went to the Desert Botanical Gardens and had “5 generational” family photos taken.
