Snowing, sledding, shoveling

Local youth take advantage of the recent snowfall at Central Park Monday, Jan. 3. Sunnyside schools were cancelled Monday and had a two-hour delay on Tuesday, Jan. 4 due to the winter weather conditions. Community members of all ages may be enjoying the opportunity play in the snow and looking at Sunnyside covered in white. They may not be enjoying scraping ice, shoveling and driving in the snow. The snowfall of last week and Monday has stayed around due to the freezing temperatures. The forecast for the next few days may rise above 32 degrees but early next week it will drop back down below. Snow and freezing rain are also in the forecast.
