GRANDVIEW - The city of Grandview will host a community work party on Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at the rose garden at the east entrance of town.

The event will kick off with a pruning demonstration sponsored by the WSU Cooperative Extension Master Gardener’s Program.

Immediately following the demonstrations, volunteer organizations and individuals will join forces to prune and clean-up the garden in preparation for the 2015 season.

Participants are asked to bring heavy duty gloves, wheelbarrows, rakes, pruners and other necessary equipment.

After the work party, the Grandview High School DECA Club will provide a barbecue hotdog feed to all volunteers who participated.

Participants are asked to pre-register for this event by contacting the Grandview Parks and Recreation Department at 882-9219.
