In the Bible, Exodus 20, it says, “I am the Lord thy God… Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
To me this means that God is the only creator. It means that God made me and nothing can be added to or taken from what God made. God is our preserver and maintains us. I have always held to this truth. One time a wart appeared on my thumb. Every time I turned the pages of a book, there it was in my way. So, I knew God had not made it, for God had already made me perfect, and was not going to curse me with something ugly and useless.
So, I endeavored, as best I could, to keep my thoughts God-like and not see or acknowledge the thought that there was another creator – another power—that could add anything to what God had already created.
I do not know when the wart disappeared, but it was, I am sure, only a few weeks and it was completely gone! The devil always tries to convince us it has power and we should fear and bow down to this power. Jesus stopped the devil short when it kept trying to tempt him in the desert. He said emphatically “Get thee behind me Satan!” and the Bible, says the devil left and angels came and ministered unto him.
Angel thoughts can always be heard, if we listen closely and they are there to comfort and uplift. In our daily prayers we should block out any erroneous thoughts and know that we can only hear and acknowledge God’s angel thoughts for then we will be blessed by being what God made us to be, whole, complete, joyful, expressing the dominion God bestowed on His beloved creation.
