Yakima Valley birds and their habitats will be the topic at the noon meeting of the Nouvella Club on Thursday, March 16 at Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1106 Taylor Ave.
Longtime birdwatcher Kerry Turley, who started as a backyard bird watcher, now volunteers to count birds at the Toppenish Wildlife National Refuge.
The program will be followed by a walking tour of the National Refuge near Toppenish on Thursday, March 23.
Nouvella members are asked to bring donation items for area food banks. Those who bring five or more items, or a $5 donation will receive a raffle ticket.
Reservations are required for members and guests.
