Yakima County Sheriff deputies were called to the scene at around 7 a.m. to a report of a vehicle colliding with a building.
Upon arriving, deputies and fire department officials discovered a deceased male in the driver’s seat. “It appears to be a high-speed impact into a brick building,” said Casey Schilperoort, Public Information Officer.
The male, who has been identified as Paul Arthur Garza, was driving at high speed and drove off the roadway, colliding with the building.
During the investigation, deputies also discovered that the vehicle Garza was driving had been stolen from McClain Drive in Sunnyside, but it is unknown if Garza stole the vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, 509-574-2543.
