THE SKY’S THE LIMIT — Two area schools celebrated the class of 2019 last Friday during commencement exercises. Mabton graduates toss their caps as they embark upon their future. Mabton’s ceremony was punctuated with emotion, as well. Pedro Espinoza Gutierrez, who’s confined to a wheelchair, stood to accept his diploma.

Second photo: 16 of the 17 graduates from Sunnyside Christian High School stand at the opening of their graduation. Sunnyside Christian had an empty chair in tribute to Braydon Bofman, who died of a heart ailment in 2016 at the age of 15.
