New name unveiled

NEW NAME, SAME MISSION — Staff and community supporters of the local domestic violence shelter and sexual assault services center at 600 North Avenue gathered for an official ribbon cutting to announce the name change from Lower Valley Crisis and Support Services to The Lighthouse Friday, Nov. 15. “We will be providing many of the same services as we have since our founding in 1978,” said Executive Director Leticia Garcia, front row with the scissors.
