GRANDVIEW — Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the one car rollover collision that took the life of Enrique Arreola, 19, of Mabton Thursday night, Nov. 28. He was declared dead at the scene in the area of 2474 Grandview Pavement Road at approximately midnight, according to Yakima County Sheriff’s Office report.

A passenger in the 2000 Nissan Sentra, a baby was not severely injured, according to the report.

The driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.

Initial police reports were that there were several occupants in the vehicle, according to the YCSO. There were, however, only the driver and the infant.

The vehicle was westbound at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the roadway and struck several fence posts, rolling several times.

The collision is being investigated by the YCSO traffic unit with assistance from the Washington State Patrol.
