A Prosser man suffered no reported in a crash on SR-395 at Milepost 53 this past Saturday.
Jacob M. Kohn, 37, escaped harm, but the driver of the vehicle that struck his 2007 Cadillac DTS wasn’t so lucky, the Washington State Patrol said.
Jesse F. Pathael, 20, was transported to Lourdes Medical Center and his 2015 Dodge Journey was totaled, troopers said.
The crash at about 7:45 a.m. took place as both drivers were traveling north on SR-395. A third vehicle was parked on the shoulder, and Pathael crashed into both the Cadillac and the third vehicle, a 2019 Freightliner with a trailer.
Neither the Freightliner driver, Issiaka Bitibale, 45 of Spokane, nor his passenger, Wynn D. Shedenhelm, 20, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, suffered injuries.
The State Patrol said Pathael was speeding too fast for conditions and cited him on that charge.
