Sunnyside Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Burger King on Picard Place Monday, October 4.

Commander Scott Bailey says a white, 40-year-old man with green eyes approached some employees as they were arriving for work at 5 a.m.

He used a weapon to threaten and eventually rob the employees before leaving.

It is believed that the suspect laid in wait for the employees and SPD is reminding everyone to be attentive to their surroundings, avoid overgrown or dark entrances and whenever possible enter and exit the building in groups.

They are also urging employers to keep entrances and exits well-lit and trim vegetation minimizing the ability to hide.

Anyone with information regarding the Burger King Robbery is asked to contact the Sunnyside Police Department at 509-836-6200 attention Det. Heeren.
