People everywhere are talking about how they are tired of the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady as the Super Bowl approaches.

Nowhere is that talk more prevalent than this state. Seahawk fans act as if they are owed another world title.

That was probably true after the game with the Steelers a couple of centuries ago. But the loss to New England in Super Bowl XLIX, although a gift, was won fair and square by the Patriots. It’s sad the Seahawks never came back.

New England has had Super Bowl heartbreak of its own, especially the unbeaten team that was upset by the Giants. But the Patriots came right back and keep coming back.

Don’t hate the Patriots. Don’t hate Brady. That causes you to miss the purpose of the game — enjoying the chips, salsa, beer... oh, and the commercials.
