On Wednesday, Nov. 21, my family and I were shopping in Sunnyside Walmart. My daughter has a seizure disorder, and she had one at the store.

I want to say thank you to the people who helped.

Thank you for being in the right place at the right time. Thank you for being taught to be a helper in need. Thank you for reacting so quickly to the chaos, for allowing us to use your phone as my daughter had yet another seizure. Thank you for keeping your composure and not freaking out as most do when faced with such scary events.

You made the transition from phone call to paramedics getting there easier than it usually is.

I was born and raised in Sunnyside and haven’t seen such compassion. Thank you to the woman who let us use her phone and to Walmart employees.
