Three cheers for youth gathering food for the hungry. (‘Youth group leads charge for downtown donations’ in The Daily Sun News, Dec. 19, 2018)

With one in five children and one in seven seniors living in poverty, no wonder there is so much hunger in America. The recent bipartisan Farm Bill protected the SNAP program, America’s first line of defense against hunger.

The next step is to attack the causes of hunger.

As the new Congress begins in January, speak up and ask for them to end hunger in the world’s richest country. Let’s be inspired by these youth to take action to end this tragedy.
