I am writing in support of Susan Soto-Palmer for Yakima County Commissioner, District 3.

I have been fortunate enough to know Susan for the past two years.

Listening to her and watching her in action are lessons in dedication to people in our community, county and state and nation.

She has been a Precinct Committee officer since 2014. She was Chair of Yakima County from 2014 – 2016 during the first election for the new City Council system. She is currently the Yakima County State Committeewoman and the Affirmative Action Co-Chair for the State Committee. She was also a Sanders PLEO National Delegate.

Susan believes that we must be willing to stand up for our values without minimizing those issues just to “get a vote”.

She plans on standing firm on progressive issues because it is important and the issues we stand for, living wage, universal healthcare, quality no-cost, low-cost education, affordable housing, the people in our community experiencing homelessness, etc., must be discussed in our communities, especially if we want to build trust with our communities.

Susan truly wants to make a difference and is willing to put in the time and effort to make things happen.

She understands that hard work will benefit the County with changes that are necessary.

Please consider giving her your vote in November.
