GRANDVIEW — The Grandview Greyhound girls’ basketball team took home one win against the Ephrata’s Tigers on Tuesday, Jan. 10, the girls were able to win with a four point lead at a score of 56-52.
Grandview was able to score thirteen points during the first quarter, eleven during the second, seventeen during the third and fifteen during the fourth with Ephrata scoring thirteen during the first, ten during the second, twelve during the third and seventeen during the fourth.
The Ephrata tigers were not going to be defeated without a fight with them refusing to give grand view the advantage during the first quarter.
The Greyhounds were able to gain a small advantage of one point during the second quarter which they were able to increase to six point by the end of the third quarter.
The Tigers attempted to close the Gap but were unable to catch up to the Greyhounds with them narrowly wining by four points.
Top scorers for Grandview were Natalee Trevino with 20 points and Jazmine Richey with 19 points. Senior Jazmine Richey sparked a third quarter rally scoring 10 of her 19 points with Trevino finishing with a double-double, notching 11 rebounds to go with her 20 points.
Grandview will be hosting their next home game on Friday, Jan. 27, they will be going up against the Selah Vikings.
