Tiny wrestlers compete at Jason Crawford

SPOKANE — Young wrestlers from across Eastern Washington and North Idaho competed on 16 mats Saturday in the Spokane Convention Center during the annual Jason Crawford Memorial Tournament.

The event set a world record for hosting 1,601 competitors under a single roof in a single day.

Wrestlers ages 5-14 from Benton City, Prosser, Mabton, Grandview, Sunnyside, Granger, Zillah, Toppenish and Wapato were on the mats for the day-long event.
